Two Months, and it's not finished.
Hi, Michael arrived home last Thurs just in time for the beer break at 5;00pm. He was glad to be out and pleased with the progress. The weather continues dry, though the weekend was cool, so it looks like he'll be going back up at the end of the week. We're trying to get the wood organized for trim, etc, so that can get done before he goes back.
We spent the weekend working, though a friend visited so we did have some fun. I got most of the primer on, another half day should do it. Caulking is not finished and that takes awhile. Its all finishing up stufff now. Nothing too big, so now is the time it comes together.
Greg will probably take a couple of weeks break from our job, the paint job is holding up some of the work, so they expect me to do it all? We've decide to put cement board up on the house walls and then "stucco" the boards(or maybe even put the texture on before they are put up. Should be easier than real stucco. so that will wait a few weeks....have to find the right color, etc.
Anyhow, not terribly interesting work right now.
We've got lots of smoke now from fires in BC, fortunately none too close. The moon is orange tonight. I'll have to go up to the tower for a better view.

Cool Doors
Hi, Zapper was sick again today, stomach bug, so slowed things down a bit. Dave worked on the deck but didn't finish it. Greg finished the bathroom door(s), made from our discarded rafters which are nicely aged and with oil, quite red.
I got the primer on the ceiling of the tower and finished caulking the beams. Started painting the bathroom.
Mike had the shopping list and went to town for supplies.
Slow going at this point. Dave is off till Mon and Greg will work tomorrow, then off till Mon perhaps. he's hoping I'll get the tower painted so they can trim the windows. I'm holding up some of the finishing. At this rate it will take me 2 weeks.
We'll hold off on the cement siding until Mike is back again. I'm having trouble getting the right white for my studio walls. Twice its been mixed incorrectly. Looks like I'll be going to town again this week.
Smokey again today. Mike to go back to the tower on Friday. Mosquitoes awful!
