A beautiful day in Georgia for a beautiful wedding. Raj and Julie chose a two-part wedding. First, the elaborate and colorful Hindu ceremony. Then, later, the Christian ceremony.

Rebecca and Bill pose with the Bride and Groom before the Ceremony. During the ceremony, lighting iunder the canopy proved difficult for all photographers. The combination of darkness with daylight in the background resulted in almost universal very dark subjects.

The Fusion of Two
Cultures Traditions
Our marriage will reflect the various aspects of two
cultures and traditions, each equally powerful and
special In our new life together we hope to blend these
cultures, using our unique perspectives to guide and
enrich us.
Hinduism holds that a number of Sanskaras
(Sacraments) shall be performed to make each
individuals life prosperous and noble. The Sankaras are
aimed at making one's mind; intellect and soul pure.
Marriage is the most important Sankara. It is a sacred
ceremony in which two souls are brought together in
union mentally, physically and spiritually in the bond of
matrimony.
The Hindu ceremony will-be overseen by Dr. Ravindra
Dave.
During the long ceremony a number of symbolic rites were performed. Bill, as the father of the Bride ritually presents his precious daughter to the family of the grateful Groom. They exchange vows and gifts,

At times the platform had many participants. The bride's sister Kristen attended Julie, while Raj's two sisters helped Raj. The main function was to keep the Bride and Groom cool, since they were dressed in heavy garments.
